“Long lengths are becoming shoulder length, shoulder length is becoming chin length and chin length is going pixie“. We talk about the new hair trends with Jessica Timm – founder of The Parlour Hair Salon in Singapore – In this interview Jessica will update us on the latest and most trendy hair cuts, hair styles and hair colours for the Spring Summer 2015 season. Read on.
Can you introduce us to the new hair trends for the Spring Summer 2015 season?
Spring and summer are all about “styled” not styled hair. Tossled curls, messy braids and middle parts are all the rage. The tossled curl look is very achievable in just a few short minutes which makes it appealing.

What about lengths?
It seems as though everyone is getting their hair chopped. Long lengths are becoming shoulder length, shoulder length is becoming chin length and chin length is going pixie. The med lengths are internally layered textured bobs. They look all one length but have texture throughout. The layers are less uniform. A – symmetrical pixie cuts are really popular thanks to many A list celebs.

The trendy hair color for Spring Summer 2015?
The colors we will be seeing for spring/summer are light copper reds, natural dark blonde to med brown tones and still balayage but in a different form. Blondes are going back a little more natural, still keeping light blonde around the face and going dark to light everywhere else. Balayage is still making a statement but in a tamed down form mixed with a few different browns and blondes, not just one color. If you get the right combination it’s very flattering and beautiful.

Hair care. The hair care product all our readers should always have in their ‘beauty bag’
Every Blonde Should have MUK blonde one minute toning treatment to tone out those yellowish tones. I also recommend O&M Detox Shampoo to rid your hair of product buildup. Wella Oil Refletions is a very nice smelling smoothing oil for the ends. A minimal amount is needed to add shine and sheen to your hair.

Thank you.
