The Paris Fashion Week started with a bang with the Dior fashion show. The French fashion house, led creatively by Italian designer Maria Grazia Chiuri, had set up a white event hall in the Jardin des Tuileries for the occasion. On this unusually warm September afternoon (September 26), Dior presented its latest fashion collection for summer 2024 there.

Upon arrival at the park, we immediately saw a hedge of excited fans around the barriers hoping to catch a glimpse of famous guests. As always, we pointed our cameras at the fashion crowd that came flooding in. The number of Dior-clad influencers was also large this time. But it was especially the VIPs, including American actress Jenna Ortega (better known as Wednesday Addams from the TV series Wednesday), who caused mass hysteria.

Streetstyle at Dior

The street style looks of the influencers tell you more about the Dior collection for fall winter 2023 2024. The mood is retro. We see many black midi dresses. Calf-length black skirts are worn with bodysuits visible.

The combination of the long flared black skirt with white blazer is particularly beautiful. Black and white is a winning combination for fall winter 2023 2024 anyway. We also see characteristic Dior prints pass by.

Pearl necklaces and Dior bags are star accessories. For shoes we see both high-heeled sandals and sturdy black boots.

Hairstyles and Makeup

Of course, we also took a good look at the hairstyles among the fashion crowd. Gel hairstyles where the hair is styled tightly around the head are still a trend. In the back, the hair is then tied together in a knot or worn in a long braid.

In terms of makeup, we noticed above all that complexions are less matte. Furthermore, there is a return of (cream) blush. So we are again going for a ‘healthy glow’ look, a fresh healthy complexion.

Street style fashion at the Chanel show, in Paris of course. Always the highest point of all the four fashion weeks that each season start from New York, then London and Milan and finally Paris. The Chanel fashion show is the most important, most coveted, most followed event. And the street style at the Chanel show is on the same level.

The vast majority of guests, insiders, journalists and so-called influencers show up dressed either in Chanel from head to toe or at least with an accessory from the famous fashion brand.

And so it was also at the Chanel fashion show for Summer 2023. On the catwalk we saw the looks for next summer (2023), but on the street we saw the autumn/winter 2022 2023 looks. And what better occasion to offer you a roundup of fashion looks for autumn/winter 2022 2023 if not through a selection of the (many) street style photos taken immediately before and immediately after the Chanel fashion show?

Take a quick look at the street style pictures below and you will immediately understand the new fashion trend: yellow is one of the favorite colors for spring summer 2019. Many influencers and fashion journalists at the Max Mara Fashion Show in Milan arrived at the show wearing yellow outfits. Yellow from top to toe, including the fashion accessories, such as shoes and bags. Sunny bright yellow tones are absolutely a top trend. Other interesting colors are mauve, dark blue and white.

Keep in mind, though, that most of the outfits on our street style pictures are by Max Mara (yes, right, it seems that the Italian maison has dressed – and maybe even paid – a lot of its guests to show up at the show wearing Max Mara outfits), but nevertheless, the colors seen at the show location reflect the fashion trends in general.

So we are definitely going to wear yellow this summer 2019. And mauve, and earth tones, and dark blue and white. According to Max Mara we are also going to wear headscarves but we doubt if this will become a real trend.

As for the shoes: pumps are back! Of course you can always wear your Fila Disruptors but keep in mind that pumps are a valid, and very feminine, alternative option for the coming summer.
