For Spring Summer 2015, the German accessories innovator MCM launches a daring, futuristic eyewear collection that boldly interprets the house’s iconic aesthetic. This yields unconventional shapes, surprising details and a look that is signature MCM. Made in Italy, the three-piece capsule precedes a full eyewear range that will debut for Autumn Winter 2015.
Inspired by the unique textures and graphic patterns of its singular accessories, MCM envisions classic sunglasses with an edge. Two women’s and one unisex pairs each interpret a distinct MCM design element.
With a sleek and feminine square frame, the MCM’s heritage collection inspired Visetos model becomes subtly emblazoned with the brand’s classic tone-on-tone monogram pattern – perfectly coordinating a head-to-toe look in black-gray, black-cognac and orange.
The fashion-forward acetate Diamonds & Studs model instead is a chic, versatile, ladylike pair that goes hardcore with the addition of another key brand signifier: gleaming, golden, diamond-shape studs, which are stamped into the temples of a black, ivory or coral red acetate frame.
Finally, the lightweight, refined and elegant unisex Space aviators with mirror lenses whisper the brand’s luxury design heritage with a pared-down look and discreet logo detail available in black, cognac, and rose gold. Composed of a breakthrough flexible metal the body can be bent, returning to shape to ensure great comfort and also speaks to the brand’s enduring commitment to innovation.
From pop to punk to pure elegance, the three pieces tell a story about the dynamic design heritage of MCM. By celebrating three pillars of its design DNA, MCM creates eyewear as a complement to modern, multifaceted personalities – always with style, quality, and renowned German craftsmanship.
For this magnificent collection, MCM teamed up with Marchon Eyewear Inc, one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of quality eye- and sunwear.
