Top hair stylist James Pecis created a Victorian-inspired hairstyle with chignon for the Antonio Marras FW 2016 2017 Fashion Show.
The inspiration for Marras’ collection (and the hairstyle) is Truffaut’s movie ‘L’histoire d’Adèle H.‘ The story goes back to 1863 (which explains the Victorian influences in the hairstyle Pecis created) and is about a woman who is so obsessed by love that she literally goes crazy.
Pecis interprets Adèle’s ‘love madness’ playing with the chignon which never seems to be in the right place. Even more ‘crazy’ are the two hair strands that surround the face and cross under the chin and tie in the neck just like a foulard.
